We have recently seen articles floating around where Google banned it’s employees from using Zoom, and the reason is pretty straightforward: SECURITY.

Yup!

The sudden surge of Zoom users (Up to 100 million meetings per day!) have exposed security flaws in the app. Here are a few:

• user email addresses have been leaked
• photos have been leaked
• calls are not encrypted

And get this, hackers thru the Zoom installer can gain root access to your computer and run malicious version of Zoom!!!

As of writing (April 11, 2020) these flaws have not been addressed yet.

This morning, Singapore banned teachers from using Zoom after hackers post obscene images on screens.
